Severe Storm and Extreme Weather

This section studies the dynamics, mechanisms, and predictability of extreme weather such as typhoons, heavy rainfall, tornadoes, the impacts of global warming on extreme weather, physics of atmospheric turbulence and dispersion, and weather in urban and complex terrain by conducting observations, data analysis, and numerical modeling.
