Congratulations to Nozomu Kuroda, Part-time Researcher at the Research Center for Climate change Adaptation Strategy, Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University was a recipient of the 2024 Encouragement Award for Papers presented by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE).
This award recognizes the importance of the paper that served as the basis for Researcher Kuroda’s doctoral thesis. See below for details.

About JSCE Encouragement Award for Paper
The award recipients are young researchers (under 40 years of age as of 1 April) who have published papers in the Journal of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers, Transactions of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers, or other JSCE publications on research areas such as planning, design, construction, invention, maintenance, etc.
The research work should also should be recognized by their peers as contributing to the academic and technological advancement and development of civil engineering, and as being exceptional quality in originality and benefit to the field. In addition, the award recipient must be the sole/lead author of the paper.
