Members of the Kantoush Laboratory, Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University, participated in a collaborative mini-symposium held at the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) — a globally recognized leader in environmental and geohazard research.
The event, titled “Reshaping Rivers: Hydro-Hazards, Human Impacts, and Predictive Modelling in a Changing Climate,” brought together experts to exchange cutting-edge knowledge on large river systems and their dynamic responses to natural and human influences. The symposium featured a high-level dialogue on future joint research between DPRI and NTU, with emphasis on collaborative project development, data sharing, and student exchange. Participants also toured the state-of-the-art laboratories at EOS, fostering deeper institutional ties.
