Congratulations to Prof. Wang Gonghui et al. for winning the 2024 Best Paper Award in Elsevier’s Engineering Geology (Impact Factor: 6.9).

The main results of this paper were obtained through collaborative research conducted with Dr. Shenghuay Cui (first author, Associate Professor, Chengdu University of Technology) and Dr. Yao Jiang (co-author, Professor, Chengdu Institute of Mountain Disaster and Environment, Ministry of Water Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences), during their sabbatical at the Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto Univeristy, Kyoto, Japan.

 

This paper also won the 2023 Best Paper Award. In other words, this is the second consecutive year that the same paper has won the award.

This award was established in 2022 by Elsevier, the publisher of the international academic journal of Engineering Geology. The editors of the journal thank all authors who have submitted to the journal and encourage the submission of high-quality papers to the journal. The 2023 Best Paper Award was selected from all papers published in Journal of Engineering Geology between 2020 to 2022.  Th 2024 Best Paper Award was selected from all papers published in the Journal of Engineering Geology between 2021 to 2023.
