Tour to the Kyoto Botanical Garden

On 11 October 2022, the Disaster Prevention Research Institute faculty members and students toured the Kyoto Botanical Garden as part of 2022 Cultural Project planned by the Welfare Committee.
The tour was guided by Professor Motoaki Doi of the Graduate School of Agriculture.
It was quite educational and paved a wonderful opportunity to discover the charms of plants while listening to various botanist’s stories on rare plants, and learn about gardening too.
Although the number of faculty and students who participated in the event was small, the Welfare Committee hopes more members will attend events organized them in the future.
