SPECIAL PROJECT IN CONJUNCTION WITH
INTERNATIONAL DECADE FOR NATURAL DISASTER REDUCTION(IDNDR)

The Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University of Japan (DPRI) and research institutes in China and Indonesia had been carrying out the joint research program for prevention and mitigation of natural disasters in the three years of 1991-1993, as a program cooperating to IDNDR which adopted by the United Nations in 1987 and was decided by the Japanese cabinet council in 1989. Another five year program has started following the previous joint project from 1994. The research project and the counterpart organizations in Indonesia and China:
