The disaster survey report investigates the record breaking rainfall in the northern part of Kyushu on 5 and 6 July 2017 which was due to low pressure that influenced warm, and very moist air that stagnated near the Tsushima Strait.  The torrential rain triggered rivers to overflow, landslides, swept away houses and cars.
