Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Hodaka Sedimentation Observatory

The Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University commemorated the 50^th Anniversary of the Hodaka Sedimentation Observatory since its inception in 1967. The celebration took place at the Nakao Community Center in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture on 17 October 2016.  The Hodaka Sedimentation Observatory is one of the few research facilities, which have carried out continuous monitoring for sediment transport in a mountainous watershed.
